ONE PRESTON EVENTS

I am writing this blog with a full heart and a HUGE smile. Andrew and I are celebrating our one year wedding anniversary this Friday, 9/22/23! We can’t believe we have been married for a year already, it’s gone by too fast. So, in honor of our 1 year wedding anniversary, I wanted to write a blog about our special day so we can look back on it forever.

We were married at One Preston Events on 9/22/22. Our venue is SO beautiful and I am so glad we decided to get married there! We started our morning at the Dallas LDS temple for our religious ceremony, and spent the rest of the day at One Preston.

If you have never been to One Preston, I highly recommend going! Their venue grounds and features are unlike any venue that Andrew and I toured. My main reason for booking was for the canoe and willow trees. If you didn’t know before, now you do, but willow trees are my FAVORITE tree!

ONE PRESTON EVENTS GUNTER TEXAS

Once we arrived to the venue from the temple, we started to take getting ready portraits together. This is something that is not common on a wedding day, but I wanted to be with Andrew all day! Following this, we hosted our ceremony on the beautiful lawn next to the chapel on site. We had so many of our loved ones in attendance and we were so grateful to everyone who came. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect, and we had our dog Nacho as our ring bearer haha!

Following the ceremony, Andrew and I took family formals, friends portraits, and newlywed portraits! This was by far my favorite part of the day, besides saying “I do” because I got a special moment with each person we invited to the wedding. Before we entered the reception, Andrew and I got a moment to ourselves to take golden hour portraits in the canoe on site. These were 100% worth it, even if I was worried we were going to tip over haha!

After we were done, we entered the reception, ate lots of Chick Fil A, and partied the night away with our friends and family. We ended the night with a perfect private last dance and a joy-filled sparkler exit. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and I can’t thank everyone who made it possible enough!

A common question that I get asked about our wedding day is who took our photos! I hired my closest creative friends, who are also on my associate team, to capture our special day. I am VERY picky when it comes to my photos and videos, but I had 100% faith in them! Our photos are so beautiful and I couldn’t thank Kaitlin and Syriah enough.
