If you haven’t been to the Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens then you need to. The grounds are filled with beautiful landscapes (of course), culture, serenity, and an overall sense of belonging. As a Fort Worth photographer, I love the natural and serene feel that the gardens provide. I always recommend the Japanese Gardens to all of my couples for their engagements, bridals, and intimate weddings!
Becky and Eric decided to elope at the Fort Worth Japanese Gardens on a cool summer day surrounded by their closest family and friends. Becky wanted to represent her Japanese culture by wearing the traditional robe. She also got married in a place that reminded her of her culture.
They were both elated for their newlywed portraits following their ceremony in such a beautiful garden. I was tasked with capturing the culture, calmness, and overall character of the couple and the nature surrounding them. I absolutely loved capturing their special day!
The Fort Worth Japanese Gardens are hidden in the back of the gardens and can be accessed by walking or by parking in the separate parking lot! The walk is about 10-15 minutes and is behind the rose garden, which is the main center of attraction at the gardens. Once you enter the gardens, you will see a butterfly center to your right, a gazebo in front of you where weddings are hosted, and lots of Japanese inspired architecture to your left. The next time you visit the gardens, make sure you walk through because there are so many beautiful spots!
