A Guide to Hiring Your Surprise Proposal Photographer

SURPRISE PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER

Congratulations on taking the next step to forever with your future wife/husband! This is an exciting time in both of your lives and I couldn’t be more excited for the both of you. The first step to forever is to plan the perfect surprise proposal to hear the words, “YES, YES, YES!”

THE PLANNING

What makes a “good” surprise proposal? There is no one way of proposing to your significant other, but the right way is to make it personal to the two of you. This can look different to a lot of people.

  • Location: Choose a location that is meaningful to you both! First date, where you first said “I love you,” favorite restaurant, etc.
  • The Set Up: Framed photos of the two of you, initials, flowers, candles, etc.
  • The Helpers: Bring in your close friends and family to help with the set up and witness the special moment!
  • The Surprise Proposal Photographer: Book a photographer and ask for recommendations on timing, set up, cover up, etc.
  • The Cover-Up: Make sure to have a good excuse as to why you both are getting dressed up and meeting at a location that isn’t a restaurant…
  • The Celebration: If your location allows it, make sure to bring something to celebrate with! Like a bottle of champagne, favorite snacks, music, etc.

FLIPPEN PARK PROPOSAL

If you don’t have a specific location in mind, Flippen Park is by far my favorite location for a surprise proposal! The beautiful scenery and gazebo is perfect for a romantic and intimate celebration once they say, “YES!” This location is beautiful anytime of day, you just can’t go wrong! See the photos below in this post for an example of what your surprise proposal photographer photos can look like at Flippen Park!

IT’S HAPPENING!

Okay, you have everything planned to the location, helpers, photographer, set up, cover up, and now you’re ready to pop the question! Don’t worry, everyone gets nervous, but this is a big moment in your life and one to be rightfully nervous about!

Once you pop the question, celebrate with your now fiance/fiancee and embrace the moment! You two are going to get MARRIED! After the moment sinks in, your surprise proposal photographer will take 5-10 minutes of portraits of the two of you. We do this for you to remember the day by and to look back on for years to come.

THEY SAID YES!

Congratulations, they said yes! So, what do you do now? Well, first you celebrate with each other, your loved ones, and share the news! The next steps are to set a wedding date and start planning your special day! The best way to get started is to set up venue tours, hire a wedding planner, and start the search for your Dallas wedding photographer.

If you are currently searching for your wedding photographer and videographer, I would love to be considered! I offer both services and a 10% discount when both services are booked with me. Get in touch with me HERE.
